Services
Logical Fusion offers a full range of services for networks from 2 to 20 workstations.
- Servers
Do you need all the bells and whistles?
Probably not. For a small network, a reasonably priced PC can easily be converted in to a server with the addition of some minor hardware (RAM, hard drives, etc.) and a well chosen server operating system. We generally recommend Small Business Server, but we can tailor other versions of Windows Server for your specific needs. In some circumstances, a simple Windows desktop PC can double as your server. - Antivirus
You just need Norton right?
Err, no. It might be the name you know, but there are a range of options that perform better and are effectively cheaper. Depending on your circumstances, you might need to focus on desktop antivirus, or a full range suite (such as Trend CSM for SMB) might suit you better. We explain the differences and help you choose the right option. - Software and Hardware Advice
What do you need?
As requirements vary from circumstance to circumstance, we're happy to talk through your needs and provide you with options that both suit you and are cost effective. It's much easier to purchase the right item first off instead of purchasing the wrong item and then trying make it fit your circumstances. - Network Cabling
The mysterious blue wires
We have a fully licensed cabler and can cable or recable your office and get rid of the messy and dangerous wires lying across the floor. We can do simple jobs such as cabling a small number of desks back to a central switch, or we can do fully concealed cabling for a larger number of desks and offices back to a centralized patch panel or data rack. - Remote Access
Want to work from home?
With broadband now prominent, it's possible to access what you need from the office when you need it. From simple web browser access to your mail through to the full remote desktop or remote control of your office PC, we can tailor access to your needs. - Data Backup
It won't happen to me...
It happens. The rate of hard drive failure is, unfortunately, on the rise. Tape drives used to be the only effective way to back up your data, but with rapid falls in the pricing of removable storage, an effective backup system can be set up for a relatively low cost. Additionally, many new PCs include the option if using mirrored hard drives - these allow real time duplication of all data meaning that if one of the drives fail, the server can be brought back on line using the second drive almost instantly.
